Ana Maria Jaller-Makarewicz

Ana Maria is an Energy Consultant and Training Facilitator with more than 20 years experience in the power and gas sectors, in consultancy and in the Academic Field. She holds a BSc with honours, MSc in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Management Studies.
Ana began work with Electric and Natural Gas Utilities in Colombia and also joined the Universidad de Norte, becoming Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Programme.
Between 2000-2002 she worked in UK as Business Analyst for Energy Markets. She worked very closely on the development of the European Gas Model. Since 2003, she has been carrying out projects for clients on various topics including electricity and gas regulations, worldwide gas and LNG markets studies, Gas to Power Analyst, etc.
Since 2013 she has been delivering Energy Training programmes in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America and Europe. She can fluently deliver training courses in English and Spanish.
She has been supporting energy transition projects and is working as energy analyst for the think tank IEEFA (International Energy Efficiency and Financial Analysis).
